What do you think you can teach kids about evaluating sources of information?

I think I can teach kids that it is work to evaluate some pages! I was fooled a bit...check the URL and go to the home page.Have an adult evaluate it if it seems too good to be true.
Great bogus sites- thanks for the eye opening evening.

I think that I can teach kids to review the page....the entire page to check for validity. I feel like I have taken that away when I select the sites that they view as part of the assignment.

I would tell them to open different links on the site and see where it takes them.

My students are not the best spellers, so would they really catch false information!!

I think we can teach kids that evaluating sources is important. To do this well kids need to be hearing this from all teachers consistantly. We need to ask,"what was your source?" all the time. If we do this consistantly a kid may see the value of MARVEL independently...
